To use KOReader you need to jailbreak. And to be able to jailbreak you need w device that has older firmware, 5.16.2.1.1 is the last firmware build that LanguageBreak exploit works on.
So, the answer to your question is, yes if you're lucky enough to get Scribe with old enough firmware. |

Thanks
Does anyone know if koreader is successfully installed on kindle and it is turning through pages of PDF text (scanned books) will the kindle still do the screen refresh with every single page turn? The eclipsa 2E did not do that, pocketnook inkpad lite does not, but when I first tried the Scribe and even my old paperwhite every single page turn the screen does the black screen refresh Is there any mod available to stop the kindle from doing this? |

On stock Amazon reader software? Anytime there is any image on the page (like say used as a "scene break" or for chapter headings) even if you're not reading a PDF all Kindle models I ever owned would do full page refresh when you turn to the next page.
Not sure about that behavior when using KOReader on a Kindle. |

You can't "mod" anything on a Kindle without jailbreaking it first.

And Amazon unlike Kobo are determined you can't even easily do simple stuff that Kindles used to allow, like collections from PC, or making the stupidly large minimum margins smaller.
You can't do collections at all without registering. They want you to "manage" it via your Amazon account web page. |

That is a very beaten and very dead horse.
