Kindle seen on PC but not on Calibre
PC can see my Kindle albeit zero files showing.

Cant see how I can delete this post, as I've actually solved it :
On my Kindle settings, go to : Connected Devices USB Use USB for - choose File Transfer (No data transfer is the default you must change from) Immediately my Kindle was recognized by Calibre. |

It's not a real Kindle, it's an Amazon customised Android tablet called Fire, though for a while they did call them Kindle Fire.
A real Kindle uses Mass Storage USB. Android (and thus fire) uses the horrible MTP for USB transfer. So Fire has all the set-up and transfer issues of any Android Tablet. |

Can someone pin this answer to the top of the forum? This got me too, and I bet lots of others are having the same issue which has such a simple fix.
