weird page turning issue on Boox Leaf
I'm having an issue using KOReader on a Boox Leaf where I am not able to turn to the next page in a book sometimes.

I am currently reading a PDF that is zoomed to fit the width, so each page requires 2 page turns to view fully, one at the top that pans to the lower part of the page, and one at the bottom that flips to the next page. Sometimes the page turn at the bottom to flip to the next page stops working. Neither the page turn button nor the swipe gesture can turn the page forward, however the previous page button works but turns the book back fully to the top of the previous page, instead of the top of the current page.

This seems to happen after a bit of flipping back and forth between bookmarks, then using the swipe to return to previous page, then continuing to turn pages forward as normal. But it's hard to reproduce on purpose because it takes a while for it to trigger. It's happening consistently every reading session though.

It's a pretty weird (and minor) issue but has anyone experienced this?

I am not sure. In any case it seems to respond to a previous page or backward swipe if not a forward swipe. I was thinking of enabling debug logging to see if anything showed up but I'm not sure where logs are stored/how to view them.

If that means Android that means you need either logcat or somewhere around Help I think you can export the logs too.

Thank you, I figured out how to use adb to look at logcat logs. Now I just have to manage to trigger the bug while the log is up

I had it happen one more time last night, and I confirmed that I am able to open search, book map, table of contents, etc. anything except progress to the next page. So I don't think it's a sleep thing. I will try to get it on log next

Ok I managed to get logs of this happening. But I'm not sure how to read them.

I have uploaded it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ldqz2ibmkl...ogcat.log?dl=0

I am reading normally up until 21:33:40-50ish, when the forward page key stops working. I believe the timestamp 21:33:58.613 is when I finally give up trying to press page forward and press page back (which goes back 2 pages instead of one, one of them being a pan up). After this I am able to use page forward as normal.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable can get some insight from this.

Unless you manage to reproduce on a sane android device I'm afraid we can't fix the bug.

You might get better luck reporting the issue to Onyx devs. They're the ones that introduce and fix the bugs on their firmware. Case in point: https://github.com/koreader/android-...her/issues/395

KOReader relies on a compliant/sane aosp base. You get that for free on phones,tablets, tvs and chromebooks but not on all eink devices.

Onyx has a record of fishy stuff (other than their license practices)

Just updating to add I haven't experienced this issue again since finishing the book I was reading at the time this was happening and moving on to other ones. So I think it may have been a weird issue with that particular file causing it. It was a PDF.
