Bluetooth remote paired but can't edit keys
Hi all,
Recently bought this remote on Amazon. https://a.co/d/djkPbSU I can pair it to my PocketBook Era. But when trying to change the key mappings, the device doesn't open the menu to do so. I have tried from the bluetooth menu, and the specific key mapping menu. The screen flashes and nothing happens The device shows with a ? In the bluetooth menu and UHID. I can confirm the device uses the HID bluetooth profile. The amazon page says it uses v4 bluetooth Any advice? |

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this remote does not work with your PB. It needs to be recogniced as a keyboard. There is a long thread about possible compatible remotes in the German forum you allready know. To summarize it: older bluetooth version are most probably working, ble devices don't. PB has promiced to support more devices in the future but I don't know a date.
Edit: Here is the thread: https://www.e-reader-forum.de/t/welc...ienung.159820/ |

I ordered the 8bitdo zero 2 controller today, I read on the forums that it works with the era and the inkpad 4. It will arrive on Wednesday, if I don't forget, I'll write back here. If I don't write by Friday, PM me.

The zero 2 works with the inkpad 4 (I think also with the era, I saw a review on amazon where it was written that it works with the era). There are a total of 12 programmable buttons that it recognizes (the select and start buttons as well). I don't know how much shorter the e-reader's battery life will be, but hopefully not by much.

If I read manga using the controller, 1% of the battery goes down about every 11-13 minutes. Without the controller, 1% goes down in about 25-30 minutes (front light and wifi off).
