Is it possible for the user to choose which linux distro to use?
Does the extension only use the "public" internal storage (the part that is mounted on the computer) and is it possible to remove what was installed easily?
Sorry,I don't have mobile phone.So I can't record video.
Now,you can select Alpine Linux or Ubuntu 14.04 in this extensions. But Ubuntu14.04 has many bugs.
The extension not only use the "public" internal storage. It uses "/etc/" folder in Kindle because the extension needs to copy the kindle's configuration to the Linux system.
It's possible to remove what was installed easily

if you take a look at alpine's repositories, however, you will see that there are less armhf packages than armv7 (for example telegram-desktop)
