I figured as much. It's a pain not being able to download WMA library books on Android devices. It wouldn't be a problem if the MP3 catalogs were just as large as the WMA catalogs; but they're not. They're smaller by some 25-33%.

Help! My trusty Zen Creative mozaic MP3 Player just died. It's discontinued and seems to be sold out everywhere on the internet (I did find a couple for sale at a silly $200+ price).
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Zen.../dp/B001CTGQEW Would anyone be able to recommend a similar little gem? A player that is: - Small - has a built in speaker (so handy for listening to audio books attached to a lanyard while mucking around in the house) - allows files to be deleted from the player - allows many different playlists - has a battery that lasts forever Thank you in advance for your suggestions CBG |

Even the newer model appears to be out of stock on the manufacturer's website. Creative may have discontinued that model.
Has anyone got any suggestions? |
The Sansa Clip series players meet all those requirements except the speaker. To be honest, I am not aware of any other model that has one.
Can files be deleted from the Sansa Clips (i.e. deleted within the player)? I always thought I had to tether it to delete files after opening the Clip on my computer. |

EDIT to clarify: I have a Clip Zip. I also have the original Clip, and a Sansa Fuze. The Fuze has a "delete <filetype>" in the settings for music, video, audiobook etc, the Clip however is lacking that ability. So issybird is right that the Clip can't delete individual files, and I should have made it more clear I was talking about the Clip Zip. Last edited by ScalyFreak; 10-11-2014 at 01:05 PM. |

I just rediscovered a Sansa Fuze+ mp3 player that I bought as a cheap refurb a while back; I never used it and forgot about it. Wasn't there something tricky about using it for audiobooks?
Another thing: I've never tried to install Rockbox on any of my Sansa Clip+ or Clip Zip devices, but I'm tempted to experiment with this Fuze+ since I don't use it anyway, and if I brick it, oh well. I found instructions on the SanDisk forum. I just need a little push ... is it worth doing? |

I just bought an iTrip Auto Mobile (Griffin Technology) from Best Buy. I'll let you know how it works in a couple of days. The price seemed ridiculously steep ($49.99) but I didn't want to wait on shipping and that's the only thing I saw in the store that looked as if it would work with pretty much everything I own, including my iPod Nano.

Thanks--I'll probably try Rockboxing the Fuze+ in the next few days and see how it goes.
