Thumbnail Size
I wonder if there is a parameter which control the size of thumbnails generated for the web page when import pdf files. I would like to have them much larger in a particular library which contains scanned pdf documents.

Are you talking about the Cover as shown in the Library?
PDF is a terrible format to work with. (see the sticky in the conversions forum) |

@Kongsbak - if its configurable it will be in . . .\Calibre2\resources\content_server, probably in one of the javascript files. You will need to create an override for the relevant file(s) in your configuration folder. See Overriding icons, templates, et cetera
